ČD - Telematika a.s. is a strong and stable company on the domestic market, that provides its customers with complex telecommunications, telematic and ICT solutions and services.

The company provides for the optimum development of information and telecommunications technology through:

• One of the largest ICT infrastructures in the Czech Republic,
• Central data storage facilities,
• Server farms,
• Development, service and other specialized centres.

ČD - Telematika a.s. operates over 3,500 km of its own fibreoptic cables throughout the Czech Republic. Its backbone data network with the capacity of STM-16 (2.5 Gbit per second) comprises six closed optical circuits with over 100 key nodes. The quality of the provided services is continuously ensured by:

• Central Supervision Centre (NOC),
• Regional Service Teams,
• Central Customer Service,
• Specialized Help Desks.

Czech Railway Company, hereafter referred to as Czech Railways, and its subsidiaries are the company’s biggest customers. Other important customers include many telecom operators, including the operator of the CESNET academic network, public administration bodies and other major companies with decentralized administration. The objective of ČD - Telematika a.s. is to actively participate in the development of ICT and telecommunications solutions, and it has therefore become a member of many associations and professional groups. At present, the company is a member of the following associations:

• Public Telecommunications Networks Operators Association (in Czech abbreviated as APVTS),
• Traffic Telematics Association (SDT),
• Association of the Czech Railway Industry (ACRI), Association of legal persons NIX.CZ (Neutral Internet eXchange),
• Association of legal persons CZ.NIC,
• AFCEA (Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association).
